Thespian Hook is a Melee Weapon in Hellpoint. Melee Weapons are used to deal damage to Enemies and Bosses in close combat. Melee Weapons have different attack values and unique abilities, making them more or less effective, depending on the enemy or situation.
Looks like a twisted sculpture from a giant rib, sharpened and carved into a gruesome weapon.
Where / How to acquire Thespian Hook
- 1x can be found in the Port Issoudun area.
- Starting from the Port Issoudun - Silos breach : go down the mag-lift located just next to the breach.
- Turn around ; take a few steps forward, and turn left.
- Pass the doorway, and head toward the opening present in the opposite wall, forward, and to the right.
- Take some momentum, and jump down, while aiming at the upper "platform".
- Having your back at where you came from, you now have three options : to the left ; forward ; and to the right. Go forward.
- You'll come across a long staircase : go down. You'll then arrive in a wide room, with flashing wires, hanging from the ceiling ; and two series of six panels, both to the right, and to the left, obstructing the view. (There are several Melee Thespians, and Vicious Hands waiting for you in this room.)
- Turn right ; take a few steps forward, and hug the wall to the right, until a large opening appears, still to the right.
- You'll have to perform a running jump in order to cross the gap, and reach the platform located forward, and to the right.
- At the point where you landed, turn slightly to the right. There's a recess in the wall ; and, at the bottom of this recess, a tile with a texture that differs from the rest of the floor. Go step on it.
- You'll hear the sound of something activating ; then, after a few seconds, you'll discover that the "tile" is, in fact, the top of an elevator / lift, that will take you up.
- From there, go forward, and then turn left : you'll see a Small Consumer, barring the way at a certain distance, right ahead of you.
- As soon as you enter the room, an ambush will be triggered, and several Melee Thespians, and Vicious Hands will spawn. (Dark Souls 2 style ambushes, anyone?)
- After you've come out on top, head toward the other doorway, in order to exit this room.
- From this point, there's only one possible path (Turn right ; go down ; turn right ; forward ; turn left ; pass the doorway ; turn left ; forward).
- Then, you can grab 1x Thespian Hook, lying on the floor at the end of the "platform" (This is the item you could already see from the large room where you can find the Vault Door, and where the Horde Event takes place, but was out of reach).
- Otherwise, Thespian Hook is an uncommon drop you can get by defeating any Melee Thespian enemy type. (The most common enemy you will fight in the Port Issoudun area).

Thespian Hook - Notes & Tips
- Though it only has one ability (at the end of the bar, too!), it is quite a powerful one
- Performs very similarly to the Light Striker. Like the Light Striker, it benefits from strong damage when fully trained and suffers from short range, weak Leech, and a lack of other powers.
- For a Foresight build, try training two, fitting them with Conductors for Entropy and Induction, and switching between them as needed. Always activate the Conductor. Even with the Hook's weak Leech, it's easy to claw back energy spent activating the Conductor Effect, and most targets that are resistant to one Hook's Conductor will be vulnerable to the other.
- It is a sword type weapon, characterized by its quick swings with available animation interrupting dodges. It is useful against both single enemies and hordes, while having a moderate swing speed and damage.

Would the advice for the foresight build work for a cognition build with light damage? That's what I'm currently doing.
