The Patriarch is an NPC in Hellpoint.
Patriarch - Information
- The Patriarch has been imprisoned in a cell deep below the Arisen Dominion, possibly by the Ministry of the Union. He seemingly had his eye removed and is being tortured by the Underworld Monolith.
- Ingame description for the Eye of the Patriarch : An Arisen synthetic eye that appears to have been ripped out of somebody's head.
- While not explicitly tasked with doing so, finishing this area's Underworld instance by slaying the Fourth Archon Knight will end his quest, allowing you to return his Eye, receiving a Catalyst Conductor and 9999 Axions.
Patriarch - Location
- You can meet this NPC in the Mine Mausoleum subsection of the Arisen Dominion area. You can get there even before the great elevator / lift is activated.
- Starting from the Arisen Dominion : Mine Mausoleum breach : when facing both the breach, and the adjacent Medical Station, turn around ; then, head forward, and slightly to the right, in the direction of the doorway.
- Pass the doorway, and go down the stairs : you're now standing in front of a basin / pool of blueish radioactive goo, which seems to be the natural habitat of 3x Radioactive Vipers ; in the distance, you can also see a "waterfall" of the same "liquid" / substance.
- WARNING. Before progressing any further, it is highly recommended that you wear, either the EVA Outfit Set, or the Aegis Armature Set, which will completely negate the buildup of the Radioactive Debuff, as you slosh through the basin of radioactive goo.
- Go straight ahead, in the direction of the "waterfall" ; hidden behind this peculiar phenomenon, you'll discover the entrance to a passageway.
- Follow the only available path, and soon enough, you'll come across an Arisen, locked in a small cell, and wearing an elaborate mask / head ornament : this is actually the Patriarch. Right next to his cell, you'll also find an Ominous Monolith, leading to the Underworld subsection of the Mine Mausoleum.

I didn't think anybody still remembered. Yes, before you lies the tragic outcome of what the Arisen chose to do to their sovereign. Ripped to shreds and walled into the deepest corner of his own palace. All for so-called "progress..." Well, they got to build their precious AI, and now look - all there is death and destruction. I was blind. I should have taken the AI threat more seriously instead of simply considering them backward. I never thought this Project of theirs would gain so many allies. There are dark influences at work here. We were played before we could even understand the game. Why are they keeping me alive? As a trophy, perhaps. I have no son. My line isn't a threat to anyone. Hmm... you are a Spawn aren't you? I can still smell the salt of the Pond on you. Leave me be. You must be doing their bidding; otherwise you'd be dead. |

You'll want to be careful if you enter the Underworld. No one can remain in that place for long.
